00:00 Hey guys, and welcome back to my channel.
00:02 So, surprise, surprise, we have another Gymshark video.
00:05 So Gymshark obviously is just pumping out
00:07 the launches this summer.
00:09 Last week they launched the Turbo collection,
00:11 which is this very bold collection,
00:13 really bold color blocking, just a lot going on.
00:16 I personally bought these not because I liked them,
00:17 but because I thought they were like really like
00:20 kind of out there and definitely different
00:21 than what Gymshark normally does.
00:23 I'm not sure these are my favorite collection
00:24 from Gymshark, at least from my first impressions,
00:27 but we're gonna give them a solid chance
00:29 and see if they maybe surprise me.
00:31 I got the seamless leggings and the sports bra to match.
00:35 And then I got the cropped leggings
00:37 and the long sleeve to match this one.
00:39 So we have four different things to review.
00:41 Without further ado, let's start reviewing.
00:44 So I think we should just start reviewing
00:46 the seamless leggings, 'cause I feel like this is like
00:48 the big ticket item of this collection.
00:50 These are the Turbo seamless leggings in brick red,
00:52 and they have some very unique detailing.
00:55 So first of all, this little like seam detailing on the top,
00:58 at least in the back part,
01:00 it honestly looks like a rip in the fabric.
01:02 Like I'm not really sure how much I like that,
01:04 but it is seamless.
01:05 And they have this like kind of like mirrored Gymshark logo.
01:08 So like one side says Gymshark,
01:10 one side says like Curragh, whatever Gymshark is backwards.
01:14 Not good at saying backwards.
01:16 The fabric definitely feels like a performance material.
01:19 It's not cottony and not brushed,
01:20 but it's also not like super slick.
01:22 It has like an interesting texture to it.
01:24 It's not quite a marled fabric,
01:26 but when you pull it, it definitely lightens up.
01:28 I feel like when you squat,
01:29 even if they are actually squat proof,
01:31 I feel like you're gonna see just like
01:33 some weird light coloring,
01:34 and it's just going to look like it's sheer.
01:37 I don't know.
01:37 And they have a lighter color kind of going down the legs
01:40 and a little color block paneling.
01:41 And then they have this little heart monkey butt detailing,
01:46 which personally I think is a little much.
01:48 I mean, it's really like, hello, here is my butt.
01:51 Yeah, and it also has a seamless ribbed waistband.
01:54 So the sports bra is the seamless sports bra
01:56 also in brick red.
01:57 This was $40.
01:59 So definitely expensive for a sports bra.
02:01 It's advertised to be a medium support
02:03 and it claims to be a racer back,
02:04 but it's actually not a racer back.
02:06 It just goes like regular tank back style.
02:08 Racer backs are like what I'm wearing right now
02:10 when it goes like the straps meet in the back.
02:13 It does have a slight scooped detailing in the back
02:15 and is very high neck,
02:17 which I like because I personally like
02:19 to just wear a sports bra to the gym
02:20 instead of like a top and everything.
02:21 So I like a little more coverage in the sports bra region,
02:24 just because then it feels like
02:25 you're wearing more of a crop top,
02:26 not just a sports bra.
02:27 The logo again is embroidered into the fabric
02:31 and has that like near detailing.
02:33 I do think it is more luxurious
02:34 when Gymshark embroiders the logo into the fabric,
02:37 just because I feel like the little print on vinyls
02:39 that they sometimes do,
02:40 they can peel off after a few washes
02:42 and they just look like a little bit cheap.
02:43 So yeah, that is the first of the collection.
02:46 So let's go ahead and try everything on.
02:48 Doing a little boyfriend reacts to my Gymshark outfit.
02:52 - Camel toe.
02:53 - Yeah.
02:54 - And the logo is, it's all around bad.
02:57 - Just to clarify, I'm not saying she looks bad,
03:00 it's the outfit, okay?
03:02 - Okay, so here are the leggings.
03:05 And I have to say, when I first tried them on,
03:07 the material is very thick and stretchy
03:10 and definitely has a lot of compression to it.
03:12 So if you like really compressive leggings,
03:14 these are actually not bad.
03:15 The waistband is okay.
03:17 My only thing is that I really had to like pull it up
03:20 in the back to get this line
03:22 to be at a decent spot around my butt.
03:24 And because of that, I'm getting a lot of camel toe
03:27 and like a lot of just like gathering around the crotch.
03:31 The gathering isn't like extreme,
03:33 but I do feel like when I stand together,
03:35 there's definitely a lot of like attention drawn there.
03:37 Yeah, I just felt like I couldn't really pull it up
03:40 all the way like up to my butt very much.
03:43 It was definitely kind of a struggle.
03:44 This is my normal size small.
03:46 I don't know, the color block detailing is very bold
03:48 and I actually think that it's kind of cool.
03:51 It's actually kind of unique how the fabric
03:52 kind of like thins out and is kind of like,
03:55 basically it's a ribbed material.
03:57 So when you put it on, it's not as opaque red
04:00 as when you don't have it on.
04:02 Like this waistband red is a thicker,
04:04 like more dense red than the rest of the legging.
04:07 I do think it's kind of like a unique design
04:10 on the front at least.
04:11 I don't think this booty circle thing
04:13 is like that flattering.
04:14 I think that they could have either just done
04:16 the bottom one or the top one.
04:18 They're a little bit less than a full length on me.
04:21 I'm 5'9".
04:22 Seams feel slightly tight on the inside.
04:24 They definitely feel like I get some stretching in here.
04:26 I think that they would be pretty cellulite friendly
04:28 just because they're so thick and super ribbed
04:32 and the fabric just has so much compression.
04:34 I do actually think that they'd be pretty
04:36 cellulite friendly.
04:37 So that is it on the leggings.

04:42 Okay, so here's the sports bra.
04:50 I definitely like the neckline.
04:51 I think that the high neckline is very flattering.
04:54 It has the little scooped back as well
04:57 and the straps would definitely not fall down
04:59 at all in the sports bra because they do go back
05:01 pretty far in, kind of like a racer back but not quite.
05:04 It feels actually probably, yeah, like a medium support.
05:08 It does have a lot of coverage
05:09 but I just feel like it's not like quite high support.
05:12 The pads are actually pretty good in this sports bra.
05:16 I can't see the pads.
05:17 This fabric is just so thick and compressive
05:19 that I feel like it actually makes
05:20 for a pretty good sports bra.
05:21 My only thing is because of the high neck,
05:23 sometimes it can have weird fit issues.
05:26 Like I'm getting a lot of gaping around here.
05:28 This part just doesn't sit on your body very nicely.
05:31 Yeah, I just don't love that.
05:32 This is my normal size small.
05:34 I don't think I could have gone for an extra small
05:35 and if I got a medium, this issue would be even worse.
05:38 So definitely not in love with the fit of that.
05:41 But everything else, the sports bra is pretty true to size.
05:44 Again, it has some color block detailing.
05:46 This part matches the waistband of the leggings
05:49 and this part matches most of the body of the leggings.
05:52 I don't actually have a lot of side boobs village
05:54 which is good.
05:55 Sometimes with high neck bras, you can get side boob.
05:57 [upbeat music]
05:59 Now we are on to the Capri leggings.
06:06 So these leggings are not seamless.
06:08 And to be honest, taking them out of the bag,
06:10 I wasn't very impressed with these.
06:12 They're made of a very thin, flimsy,
06:15 that kind of slick athletic material
06:17 that feels like kind of like a cheap pair
06:18 of Nike leggings, which I'm not saying Nike leggings are bad
06:21 but I feel like I've just had some really low quality
06:24 Nike leggings in the past.
06:25 And this waistband is pretty awful.
06:28 It is a nice, thick, cheap, elastic waistband.
06:32 These things are really cheap.
06:33 This kind of thick elastic.
06:36 This is not going to do you any favors for your waist.
06:38 It's either gonna be too tight
06:39 or it's gonna cut into you and give you muffin top.
06:41 So I'm really not looking forward to that.
06:43 The inside of it also has one
06:44 of those little slick details,
06:47 which means that they probably don't stay up
06:49 very well on their own.
06:50 If they use a more expensive style waistband,
06:52 I don't think they would have need
06:53 this little elastic sticky thing.
06:55 And on the website, it says it's a ribbed waistband.
06:58 In what world is this a ribbed waistband?
07:01 This is just a little piece of elastic.
07:03 There is no ribbing going on in this waistband.
07:05 They also have some super shiny reflective detailing,
07:08 which just feels like, I don't know,
07:09 this is kind of giving me Wonder Woman vibes,
07:11 but knockoff Wonder Woman vibes.
07:13 They also have the shiny material going in the front.
07:15 They have the same Gymshark
07:16 and reflection thing going on.
07:18 And they have another one of those seams
07:20 right under the butt,
07:21 which I don't think those really do much for your butt.
07:24 I feel like this is kind of gonna flatten it a bit.
07:27 And to match, I got the Turbo long sleeve crop top.
07:31 The long sleeve crop top is $35,
07:33 so it's actually cheaper than the sports bra.
07:34 It has a lot of the same color block detailing.
07:37 There's just a lot going on with this.
07:39 Again, makes me kind of feel superhero vibes,
07:42 but not in my favorite way.
07:44 Very similar detailing to the legging.
07:45 It has kind of little wrist cuff detailing with thumb holes,
07:50 which I love a nice thumb hole.
07:52 And I don't know,
07:53 but I don't feel like these really go together.
07:55 The model was wearing the long sleeve crop top
07:57 and the Turbo crop leggings,
07:59 and I just don't feel like they really go
08:01 because this fabric is so shiny and reflective,
08:04 and this is very matte and seamless.
08:06 So, okay, we're gonna try this on and see how it goes.
08:09 If someone gave me these leggings,
08:10 I would not expect them to cost more than $10.
08:14 These feel just so cheap.
08:16 I really, really don't enjoy this.
08:19 I just feel like the fabric is super thin
08:22 and not, I don't know, not high quality.
08:25 Since this fabric is so thin,
08:27 it doesn't really make sense to me
08:28 why the waistband is so thick and compressive.
08:31 Waistband is just a straight up piece of elastic.
08:34 I'm sorry, I just, that's not okay.
08:36 If you can see this little front region,
08:38 it honestly kind of looks like it's skewed a little bit.
08:41 It's actually not.
08:42 This line goes this way,
08:43 and then it kind of warps a little bit.
08:45 It also has a thick, I don't know, seam going on here.
08:50 It looks like I wore the leggings backwards,
08:51 but they're not backwards.
08:52 Not for me.
08:53 This shiny, reflective thing,
08:55 I feel like I am on duty at the crosswalk
09:00 trying to prevent kids from getting hit by things
09:03 'cause I'm so reflective.
09:04 So, don't love this reflective thing.
09:07 I feel like it could maybe look cute in a different sense,
09:09 but just looking at it right now,
09:11 I just like, here's the butt detailing.
09:14 I do have to say, at least this goes above the butt,
09:16 so it's more flattering
09:17 than if it was cutting off my butt in the middle.
09:19 So, good for you Gymshark for that part.
09:21 I don't like this little seam right here.
09:22 It makes me look like I'm wearing shorts
09:24 in addition to my leggings.
09:26 I just don't think this is necessary.
09:28 I don't think it's very flattering.
09:29 I feel like it kind of cuts off my butt in a way.
09:33 So, I don't know, that's all I really gotta say about these.
09:35 I just think that this is probably
09:36 one of the worst pair of Gymshark leggings
09:38 I've tried on in a while.
09:39 The seamless leggings were,
09:40 even though I didn't love them, much better than this.
09:43 This front seam also could be leaving you at risk
09:46 for some camel toe.
09:47 This waistband is so tight also.
09:49 Like, I feel like it's suffocating me,
09:51 and I think I'm already getting marks from it
09:53 being so tight.
09:56 Also, this is the length.
09:57 It hits right below the knee.
09:58 I prefer my cropped leggings to go to about my calf.
10:02 So, these kind of make me feel like,
10:04 I don't know, these are the kind of cropped leggings
10:05 I wore when I was in sixth grade.
10:09 This is not my fave look.
10:11 (upbeat music)
10:13 So, here we are with the long sleeve crop top.
10:23 I put it on over the sports bra,
10:25 just to see if you could see the sports bra underneath.
10:27 It personally doesn't make a lot of sense to me
10:28 to make a sports bra really high neck
10:30 and not have the crop top able to cover it.
10:34 I do have to say, it does cover the sports bra pretty well.
10:37 There's a decent amount of length under my boobs,
10:39 probably about two inches.
10:41 It's actually staying down really well.
10:43 This has a very snug fit,
10:45 and this little waistband kind of thing right here,
10:48 or like bra band, is very snug,
10:50 and it's staying on very well.
10:51 The wrist cuffs, they aren't too tight.
10:54 They have still a decent amount of room for me.
10:55 I don't know if you like this little,
10:57 like, kind of extra fabric look or not.
11:00 It does have little thumb holes, which I like.
11:03 And yeah, the fabric is just exactly the same
11:05 as the seamless leggings.
11:08 So it doesn't really go with the cropped leggings.
11:10 It definitely goes more with the seamless leggings.
11:13 I think for me that all of this little color block
11:15 detailing is just too superhero vibes for me
11:18 for like a daily basis.
11:19 It's not my favorite.
11:20 I think that the back cutout is really cute,
11:23 and also gives you like a little, like, I don't know,
11:26 a little more breathability,
11:27 because this is a very thick, dense fabric.
11:30 And honestly, like this isn't for summer.
11:32 I don't know why they launched this collection in the summer.
11:34 It's a very thick and wintry.
11:35 Definitely will keep you warm.
11:37 So if you like really thick, wintry fabrics for the summer,
11:40 this could be for you.
11:42 I do have to say that this Gymshark, it's not very legible.
11:44 So unless you know that this is Gymshark,
11:46 you're not going to really be able to read that
11:47 and be like, "Oh, I can tell what that is."

11:52 I truly do feel like Wonder Woman or something right now,
11:58 maybe a little Captain Marvel action.

12:04 Overall, I wouldn't recommend any of these pieces.
12:06 I just don't think this is Gymshark's, like,
12:08 shining collection of the summer.
12:10 I think they're coming out
12:11 with their ultra seamless line soon,
12:12 which I'm definitely excited to try,
12:13 because those are a lot of really cool colors,
12:15 and it's not so in your face and like weird as this.
12:18 But if this is your vibe, go for it.
12:20 It's also, just keep in mind, very hot for the summer.
12:22 So I'm not sure I would get it right now.
12:24 But yeah, those are my honest opinions.
