An "extensive settlement" of the pre-Hispanic Wari culture (7th to 13th centuries AD), dedicated to "ancestor worship" and with evidence of coexistence of several ethnic groups, has been discovered in the Cajamarca region of northern Peru, the Ministry of Culture reported Saturday. teleSUR
