Following the recent announcement that wages across England have risen by nearly 8 per cent, Star reporters, Chloe Aslett and Kirsty Hamilton, asked Sheffield locals how much money they need to be happy.

00:00 So I think it's really hard to put a price on something, but what I think is really important is to have enough money to be able to do the things we want to do.
00:13 So there's paying our bills and paying out what we need to, and that's important, we need to be able to feel that we can cover that.
00:22 But actually it's important to have a bit of the fair money that we can do the things we want to do.
00:27 So as long as we earn enough to be able to do those extra things, I think that's when we can class it as enough.
00:35 I'd probably say enough that I can pay the bills, do fun stuff, especially with her.
00:41 You like going to the theme parks, don't you?
00:44 Yeah.
00:45 Yeah.
00:46 I go to a lot of theme parks.
00:47 Yeah, what sort of things would you do with the fair money? Is that the part that would bring you happiness?
00:54 To be fair, not having the money, but spending it on family and just doing experiences and things like that, that would definitely make me very happy.
