00:03 >> This is my fifth year doing this and
00:05 that is my favorite female country voice I've heard in five years.
00:10 I never could have imagined being on TV,
00:16 how that amplifies your reach as someone,
00:22 I guess as a celebrity.
00:27 It's really special when people, fans of the show, they say that,
00:32 they're like, we didn't really know your music, but we love your work.
00:37 And how you and Lionel and Katie do American Idol, it's very rewarding for
00:42 me because we wanted to be that way and
00:45 we want the viewers to really appreciate it.
00:50 And I think they do.
00:51 So yeah, I mean, it's put me in a whole nother level of opportunities and
00:57 situations where you can really do great things with it.
01:01 And I love the role.
01:04 I really don't look back and have any regrets for being a part of American Idol.
01:11 It's all, when you see a kid walk in and you can see their whole career
01:16 unfold in front of them, it's pretty special stuff.

01:27 If you'd have told me that before I took the American Idol gig that I would have
01:31 cried in front of millions of Americans, I'm not there trying to put on this tough
01:36 guy, country guy, farm guy, I'm there to get involved in the emotion of the show.
