00:00 Alright, Kev, now we go one through four.
00:06 Checking in at fourth in the country, the Ohio State Buckeyes.
00:10 Number three overall, that would be Alabama, and then Michigan and Georgia, one and two.
00:15 Michigan two, the two-time defending national champion Georgia Bulldogs, number one, Kev,
00:21 in my preseason top ten.
00:24 Fair enough.
00:25 We'll talk Georgia in a second here, because I got a question that I'm going to spin back
00:27 your direction.
00:28 I will say, as far as Ohio State goes, I find myself at some points of a day saying, "You
00:35 know what, man?
00:36 The Buckeyes used to run everything about the Big Ten, and they're going to do it again.
00:40 How dare we assume Michigan will ever beat them?"
00:43 And then there are days where I think this team is going to lose four games.
00:47 Ryan Day has lost a home game two years in a row now, and he has to go at Notre Dame,
00:52 at Wisconsin, and at Michigan.
00:55 That's a recipe for disaster, especially when we don't trust the quarterback position.
00:59 Kyle McCord or Devin Brown, either way, it's tough when you're having to step in and replace
01:05 C.J. Stroud, and we've seen none of it.
01:08 And yet I don't feel like...
01:09 We hear all this panic, and I know not necessarily, right, like you have Alabama ranked in front
01:13 of Ohio State, but there are multiple Ohio State quarterbacks booked in front of any
01:18 Alabama quarterback to win a Heisman Trophy.
01:21 And I know that's all because of Marvin Harrison and Emeka Ibuka, but I just can't get there
01:28 with Ohio State.
01:29 But speaking of the Heisman Trophy, you have Georgia won.
01:33 I think it's kind of this thing where, why wouldn't you put the Bulldogs won?
01:36 It feels like it's been forever since they've lost a game.
01:40 Carson Beck, all signs point to him being this team's starting quarterback.
01:45 If they're going to run the table, Stetson Benton was in New York last year, right?
01:50 He's not inside the top 10 Heisman odds on the FanBull Sportsbook.
01:55 Is it not worth a taste on Beck to go out there and win a Heisman Trophy, Ben?
02:00 20-1, that's the number right now on Carson Beck, outside of the top 10 numbers to win
02:07 the Heisman Trophy.
02:08 I don't believe it is, Kev, because the one thing for Georgia is a supreme offensive line
02:13 with a ton of talent still defensively.
02:15 I have my skepticism about UGA being in the running even for a third consecutive national
02:21 title despite how easy the schedule is this year for Georgia.
02:26 But I do believe the Dogs, at worst, are going to have one blemish in the regular season.
02:31 There's a good chance they go to Atlanta for that SEC title game in early December unbeaten.
02:37 But I think they will play an Alabama team that might have one loss in the regular season,
02:42 but at least with an opportunity if they win the SEC championship game, something Nick
02:47 Saban's Tide have done six of the last nine years, every year they've appeared in Atlanta
02:52 for that SEC championship game, that if Alabama is there, I give the nod to the Crimson Tide.
02:58 Kev, not outside my top three in the Ben's top 10, but outside the top three in the AP
03:04 poll for the first time since 2009.
03:07 Alabama also not receiving a single first place vote for the first time since the 2015
03:11 college football season, that in both of those years, '09 and '15, Alabama won a national
03:17 championship.
03:18 Yeah, listen, I mean, doubting Alabama is a sin.
03:22 Look, we had a lot of fun talking about this team last year, and I personally found the
03:27 Saban press tour to get himself into the college football playoff one of the most delightful
03:30 things of all time.
03:31 I think he's got a future on the college football today set.
03:34 I mean, the man clearly respects the gambling business.
03:36 Let's call it what it is.
03:38 But they lost twice last year.
03:40 It was at Tennessee by a walk-off field goal and LSU by a walk-off two-point conversion
03:44 both on the road.
03:45 Listen, if you're doubting Alabama this year, you have them losing home games.
03:49 That's the starting point.
03:50 You have to have them losing home games, and that's not something I'm going to be in the
03:55 business of.
03:56 Listen, here's a semi-spoiler for you.
03:59 Two SEC teams getting into the college football playoff used to feel like a thing of certainty.
