00:00 Recently Biden's student loan forgiveness plan was shot down by the Supreme Court, leaving
00:04 the administration to find other avenues of student debt relief.
00:08 This all comes on the back of a student loan repayment pause brought on by the COVID pandemic.

00:17 Recently loan servicers were told they must give borrowers 21 days notice before payments
00:21 are set to begin.
00:22 One loan servicer, Nelnet, did just that.
00:25 But of course many of those borrowers had questions about their situations.
00:28 However, shortly after sending out informational emails, the company became incommunicable,
00:33 with multiple hour wait times over the phone and some being told their call centers were
00:37 closed.
00:38 Even after Nelnet posted that their technical difficulties were sorted out, borrowers were
00:42 still posting on ex-formerly Twitter that they were still getting the call center closed
00:46 automated message.
00:47 Insider also reports that other users have reported being unable to use the website and
00:52 cannot access their accounts there either, with some users reporting issues over the
00:56 past 30 days.
00:57 Long before the loan repayment emails were sent, experts say this is only the beginning
01:01 of what will likely be a litany of issues as repayments begin, as student loan servicers
01:06 have never transitioned back into a repayment phase at this scale before.
