00:00 Now that the market has settled, Joe P,
00:02 where do you believe the value still lies?
00:04 - I still think for now the values with the Astros
00:08 because I don't think the market has adjusted enough yet.
00:11 And I understand why,
00:12 it's because the Rangers have been competitive,
00:14 but let's be honest, the Rangers also, you know,
00:17 bullpen wise has been shaky all year.
00:19 I know they went out there and added Chapman too,
00:20 and Smith's been okay, but the bullpen had been shaky.
00:24 On top of which you got the Evaldi
00:25 who you're worried about his arm.
00:26 And on top of which you're worried
00:28 about Corey Seager's health with that thumb.
00:30 So the Rangers again, have not been there.
00:32 And they're kind of the new guys who are, you know,
00:34 and credit to them, you know, they built a new ballpark,
00:38 they went out there and spent money.
00:39 So the fan base is energized and that's great.
00:42 At the end of the day, this is still a team
00:43 that doesn't really have, you know,
00:44 all of the pieces in place, I think quite yet.
00:47 So to me, the value is still on the Houston Astros.
00:49 They were my pick to go back to the World Series this year.
00:51 And I don't always do that.
00:52 But to me, this is a team that just had a lot of pieces
00:55 ready to go and still relatively in their prime.
00:57 - You're talking about Kyle Tucker.
00:59 Want to talk about the antithesis of how bad
01:02 some of the offensive pieces have been for the Phillies.
01:03 How about the Houston Astros?
01:04 How about how good Kyle Tucker's been
01:06 since the all-star break?
01:07 And we talk about that.
01:08 Alvarez, we all know what damage he can do,
01:10 especially in a short series.
01:11 So look, getting El Tuve healthy is important.
01:14 All of those pieces are important to get healthy,
01:17 get on track, and all that matters is getting in the dance.
01:19 And once you get in the dance,
01:20 I think the Astros are gonna be tough.
01:21 The Braves are interesting too,
01:23 because I think there's still some value on the Braves.
01:25 We have to see if Max Freed can come back
01:27 and sustain that health and look like Max Freed.
01:30 If he does, that's the missing piece for them.
01:31 That's why you didn't see the Braves go out there
01:33 and make a deal.
01:34 I think you've seen Bryce Elder come back to the pack
01:36 and understandably so.
01:37 That was always going to happen.
01:38 We've been waiting for three months for that to happen
01:40 and it hasn't happened.
01:41 He's finally hitting that wall now
01:43 and he's seeing some regression there.
01:45 But the Braves are plus 300.
01:46 That's still some really good money
01:47 as long as Max Freed comes back healthy to me.
01:50 I know it's boring to look at some of the chalk teams,
01:53 but if you're looking at the Orioles,
01:54 again, what's that rotation look like in a short series?
01:58 I don't think it's a scary group.
01:59 I'm sorry.
02:00 Same thing with that bullpen there.
02:02 If you're looking at the Rays,
02:03 the Rays are always our own worst enemy.
02:04 You're looking at who the Blue Jays, come on.
02:06 Like, I mean, I just can't see anybody else on this board
02:09 that I think is really worth investing in.
02:11 The weird wild card, as you said earlier, is the Padres.
02:14 The Padres somehow figure things out.
02:16 Arizona continues to slide and they sneak in the back door.
02:20 That is a dangerous trio of pitchers.
02:21 Musgrove, Darvish, Snell with Hayter at the back end.
02:26 That is a really tough out.
02:27 Don't let the Padres in the back door.
02:29 I'm telling you right now, they're gonna ruin the party.
02:31 They're gonna get drunk.
02:32 They're gonna have the police called.
02:33 It's gonna be a whole thing.
02:34 Watch out for them.
02:35 Don't let them in.
