00:06 - All right, welcome to Denville.

00:11 Denville, New Jersey, not far from Morristown,

00:14 where Washington trained and basically got ready

00:19 for the Revolutionary War.

00:21 And this place, Denville Dog and Grill,

00:27 it looks like at one time it was the stewards,

00:30 but with all the stewards closing,

00:33 somebody stepped up and made something of their own.

00:36 And this is Denville Dog and Grill, Denville Freeze.

00:40 They have ice cream, stewards on tap, and hot dogs.

00:45 And we're gonna give it a try,

00:48 see just how good Denville Dog and Grill is.

01:11 - I like a plain hot dog.

01:14 I like a hot dog with chili, cheese, and bacon.

01:20 I like an order of fries.

01:25 And a large root beer and ice.

01:29 All right, this is Denville Dog and Grill.

01:33 It used to be a stewards,

01:35 but they had some trouble with licensing.

01:38 And well, they broke out on their own.

01:42 And they used to use some bread hot dogs.

01:44 And look at the bun to dog ratio.

01:47 Dog is sticking out of the bun just a little bit.

01:50 So you know that's a good bun to dog ratio.

01:53 The buns don't feel too warm though.

01:55 They don't feel like they're been steamed or not.

01:57 They just look like out of the package.

01:59 Little crack here.

02:00 We'll see how the hot dog tastes.

02:02 So that's the most important part.

02:04 That's a good snap.

02:23 I think this is a hustle triple.

02:26 Possibly could have been better,

02:27 a little bit higher if the bun was a little bit steamed.

02:31 But overall the dog itself has a good snap, a good taste.

02:35 And that's the most important part of course.

02:39 Now they have many different types of dogs.

02:41 Of course the chili dog.

02:43 And they have a chili dog with bacon.

02:45 Look at these bacon.

02:46 They broke up the bacon and chopped it up

02:48 and put it all over the hot dog.

02:50 They used the cheese sauce.

02:53 Well let's see.

02:55 A mild chili, not much of a spice kick.

03:06 The bacon is a nice touch.

03:10 The cheese is smooth.

03:12 Not sloppy, which is a good positive.

03:15 I think I'm gonna give the chili dog a double.

03:18 And the fries look good.

03:20 Sprinkle cut fries.

03:21 Very good fries.

03:28 And of course Stewart's root beer on tap.

03:36 I mean probably next,

03:39 Stewart's or A&W is probably the two best root beers.

03:46 All right, they've been here 30 years

03:53 celebrating summer with frozen treats and hot dogs.

03:57 You know, they make their homemade lemon ice.

03:59 Hurts the teeth a little bit, but very good.
