00:00 This case concerns a man and a woman who led police on a high-speed car chase
00:06 through Sydney's northwest yesterday. They're 39 year old Casey Glover and 37
00:12 year old Ashley Francisco. Now Francisco appeared in person here at the Burwood
00:17 local court this morning dressed in prison greens. She's facing six charges
00:21 including aggravated break and entering and theft and firearm offenses. Glover is
00:26 facing 20 charges which include theft offenses and possession of an unregistered
00:32 firearm, driving without a license and police pursuit. He did not appear in
00:37 person today but his lawyer appeared on his behalf. Yesterday the pair engaged
00:42 police in what's been described as a very very reckless pursuit through
00:47 Sydney's northwest in what police say is a stolen white sedan. Helicopter vision
00:52 shows the car weaving in and out of traffic failing to observe traffic
00:57 lights and it's sometimes driving on the wrong side of the road at high speeds.
01:01 When that car hit a truck at Kisoola police suspended their pursuit for
01:08 safety reasons but they continued to monitor the vehicle from the air and
01:11 they were watching when it crashed into a pole at North Rocks at about 11 a.m.
01:16 and that's when Glover and Francisco were taken into custody. Today neither
01:21 of them applied for bail and it was formally refused. There were actually two
01:25 warrants outstanding for Glover's arrest and he will have to face separate
01:30 charges in the Supreme Court and the Fairfield local court but he and
01:35 Francisco will both be back here before the Burwood local court in August.
