Microsoft ($MSFT@US) said Tuesday that it had recognized its first union of employees, the first technology company to do so. A supermajority of ZeniMax workers, a video game holder of Microsoft, voted to join the Communications Workers of America. A spokesperson for Microsoft said that the tech giant recognizes the Communications Workers of America (CWA) as the bargaining representative for employees at ZeniMax and looks forward to engaging in good-faith negotiations. Last week, the CWA said a supermajority of employees at Proletariat, a Boston-based game studio, had voted to unionize.
