Two counter-rotating plastic disks with a pattern of aqua 2.5mm NeonString EL wire. The EL wire part was pretty easy, but the motion of the disks... I never DID get that the way I wanted it.
It was inspired by the amazing art of David C Roy of www.woodthatworks.com.
