Driver's lucky escape after car swept away by floodwaters while crossing water-filled road

A driver had a lucky escape after their car was swept away by floodwaters when they attempted to cross a water-filled road.

A video, filmed on Monday [19], shows the car slipping off the road in Bahrain, in the KPK province of Pakistan.

The video clip ends abruptly with panicked screams from onlookers.

Locals said the water level off the road was lower than expected, and the driver was pulled to safety by onlookers.

Pakistan has endured heavy monsoon rain for two months, causing ongoing floods.
