Honnavar fishermen save olive ridley turtle, win hearts

On April 5, 2022, a critically endangered olive ridley turtle that was found caught in a ghost nest off the coast of Dhareshwar in Honnavar, Uttara Kannada was rescued by local fishermen. The video clipping of Ravi and his team of Aditya Karvi and Ashok freeing the turtle off the net is winning the hearts of conservationists as well as fishermen who worship these turtles as gods.
