Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on February 6 announced Charanjit Singh Channi as the party's chief minister face for the Punjab Assembly election. He said, “Charanjit Singh Channi will be the Congress' chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Punjab Assembly elections."
