Government faces criticism over plan for cash payments for aged care workers

The federal opposition has branded the government's plan to give aged care workers two cash bonuses a "shoddy political fix". Aged care staff will receive two payments of up to 400 dollars each before the expected may election, as part of a funding package to be unveiled today by the Prime Minister.
