Bitcoin Isn’t Soaring Like We Thought

As apex cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are stumbling, experts and analysts believe that the “bottom” of Bitcoin isn’t here yet. Michael Van De Poppe took to Twitter (TWTR@US) to calm investors, saying, “Probably, the bottom on Bitcoin needs time to be built. That’s fine. Let it go sideways for a few weeks. Markets need to settle down.” Elsewhere, Coinbase ($COIN@US) added Ethereum 2 to its price index and Binance announced that deposits and withdrawals on Ethereum will be suspended starting December 9th. While Bitcoin managed to trade a fraction of a percent higher over the past 24 hours, it’s fallen over 11% in the past 7 days while the global market cap fell a fraction of a percent. Additionally, Ethereum fell slightly over the past 24 hours, shedding over 7% in the past week. At press time, Bitcoin was inching closer to $49 thousand and Ethereum fell just below $43 hundred.
