Every state is responsible for its own pollution, says expert

Punjab Agricultural University Climate Change & Agricultural Meteorology Department Head Dr Prabhjyot Kaur Sidhu on November 21 said that Delhi’s Air Quality was always higher as compared to Punjab and every state is responsible for its own pollution.

“We analysed data from last 4 years to observe that the stable atmosphere, temperature dip and calm wind speed during the monsoon withdrawal period, is why any region's pollution cannot move from one region to another. Pollutants need high wind speed to move and every state is responsible for its own pollution. Delhi's AQI was anyway higher, as compared to Punjab,” she added.
