Bergson's brace keeps JDT on track for an eighth consecutive MSL title

Johor Darul Ta'zim took another major step towards an eighth consecutive Malaysia Super League title on Sunday after beating Sabah 2-0 at home.

Brazilian Bergson Da Silva scored twice in two minutes to seal Johor's seventh league win on the trot. It is also their 14th win in 18 matches.

The 30-year-old midfielder is also in the running for the top scorer award with 19 goals so far, two ahead of Selangor's Ifedayo Olusegun.

Johor are now on 45 points, eight ahead of second place Terengganu, with four games to go.
