Strawberry Moon: A glimpse of the last supermoon of the year
  • 3 years ago
The first full moon of summer 2021, also known as the Strawberry Moon rose on June 24, marking the last supermoon of the year. The Strawberry Moon is one of the most colourful moons of the year because of its low, shallow path across the sky. According to the Farmer’s Almanac, the Algonquin tribes called it the Strawberry Moon because of the fruit’s harvest season, which takes place around this time. The moon will appear full for about three days, starting early Wednesday (June 23) morning through early Saturday (June 26) morning.”
