Oil and Gas company Santos has confirmed the 4.7 billion dollar Barossa project off the Northern Territory coast has the green light.

The announcement means certainty for the Darwin LNG plant but there's concern about what the project will mean for government targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.The gas harvested will be sold overseas.
