The third section of the Sunderland Strategic Transport Corridor (SSTC) is the 2km section which will run between the Northern Spire and the city centre, due for completion this autumn.
The next part of the work will begin on Monday, March 15, when the construction team will carry out surfacing, road markings and traffic signal installation on the new carriageway on Trimdon Street.
