Academy Award-winning director Alex Gibney discusses his newest documentary, “Citizen K,” which explores the life of former Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was once one of the country’s richest citizens and served time in a Siberian prison after calling out Putin. Gibney uses extensive interviews with Khodorkovsky to depict Putin’s rise and his anti-democratic reign in Russia. “One of the things that's interesting to me about this film is it renewed my belief in the idea that people can change,” Gibney said about Khodorkovsky.
