Bird flu scare hits poultry business, sales reduce to half

Amid the rising scare of Bird flu, also known as avian influenza poultry business across north India dips by 50%. Outbreak of the disease has created reluctance among the people to purchase poultry products. Sale and transportation of poultry has been restricted in epicentres of bird flu. Shopkeepers complained that their sales are plunging below the cost of production.
