Cape Town refugees facing deportation

It’s been more than a year since hundreds of refugees fled their homes in Cape Town to an inner city church, fearing xenophobic attacks. Now, the Home Affairs Department is starting The process of deporting those who are in the country illegally. The refugees are currently staying in camps in the city after being removed from the church where they had been living until the start of the lockdown. Government wants to shut down the camps and is encouraging those living there to reintegrate into society. But many remain reluctant to do so. Home Affairs Minister Aaron Motsoaledi speaks on this.
