England crushed the Caribbean side by 269 runs in the third and final Test at the Old Trafford Cricket Stadium in Manchester to seal the series. England are standing at the third position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Test Championship points table following their 2-1 win in the three-match series against the West Indies. England leapfrogged New Zealand to the third spot with 226 points, 46 more than New Zealand.

इंग्लैंड और वेस्टइंडीज के बीच तीन मैचों की टेस्ट सीरीज खत्म हो गयी है. मेजबान इंग्लैंड की टीम ने 2-1 के अंतर से सीरीज अपने नाम कर लिया. पहला मैच हारने के बाद इंग्लैंड की टीम ने सीरीज में अच्छी वापसी की. और बाकी के बचे दोनों मैच जीतकर सीरीज पर कब्जा जमा लिया. आखिरी टेस्ट मैच में इंग्लैंड ने विंडीज को 269 रनों से हरा दिया. इस जीत के साथ ही इंग्लैंड की टीम ने आइसीसी वर्ल्ड टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप में छलांग लगाई है. और अंक तालिका में टीम तीसरे स्थान पर आ गयी है. अब इंग्लैंड की टीम ने 226 अंकों के साथ नंबर 3 के पायदान को पक्का कर लिया है. आइसीसी विश्व टेस्ट चैंपियनशिप की मौजूदा अंकतालिका की बात करें तो इसमें भारतीय टीम नंबर वन है.
