He opened the shop three months after the lockdown. Trying to turn around. With all the savings, the day the new goods were picked up in the shop, the night was stolen. The thieves took away goods worth Tk 60,000 including Tk 20,000 in cash kept in the shop.

After that, people of different classes and professions including police officers stood by their side. The money from their latest savings was stolen from the store, with four police officers providing initial assistance to keep the shop running again.
Makhlishur Rahman Kamran, councilor of ward 9 of Sylhet City Corporation, handed over Tk 20,000 to the couple as new business capital given to police officers on Thursday noon. At the time, the councilor also promised to arrange disability allowance.
