Kino is feeling a little sad. He is staying with his aunt while his parents are away, but he thinks he's too old to miss them. Lucy assures him that you're never too old to miss the ones you love. Elena Epps overhears them and offers to help by reading a book about three little owls who miss their mother. Kellie Williams comes in and suggests that Kino needs a second pair of parents. She reads a book about a couple who find a magic way to have two of everything. Afterward, everyone agrees that it is important to have someone special, and Patricia Richardson reads a book about a bird who doesn't have a mother and tries to find one.
