In the Sanatan Dharma, all the months have their own importance, but the month of Savan has a special holy place. It is believed that worshiping Lord Shiva in the month of Sawan fulfills all desires. The importance of this month increases even more when the date of Ekadashi, beloved of Lord Vishnu, arrives. Ekadashi which falls on the Krishna side of Saavn month is called Kamika Ekadashi.
सनातन धर्म में यूं तो सभी मास का अपना महत्व है लेकिन सावन मास का विशेष पवित्र स्थान है। मान्यता है कि सावन मास में भगवान शिव की पूजा करने से सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती हैं। इस मास का महत्व और भी बढ़ जाता है जब भगवान विष्णु की प्रिय एकादशी की तिथि आती है। सावन मास की कृष्ण पक्ष में आने वाली एकादशी को कामिका एकदाशी कहा जाता है।
