Taheya Carioca dances with Mahmoud Reda

In this scene from the 1949 film Al Bait al Kabir (The Big House) Taheya Carioca plays the role of a young widow who has married an elderly doctor. The good doctor has divorced his first wife of many years in order to marry the much younger Taheya. However, he cannot keep up with her lifestyle or her constant nights out. In this clip she has gone out dancing to a club with her friends and has angrily left her husband at home, he was too tired to accompany her.
Her dance partner in this clip is a young Mahmoud Reda. Both Reda brothers (Ali and Mahmoud) appear in this film as part of the group of friends and they both dance with Taheya Carioca in the movie.
