Input device:-
An input device is any hardware device that sends data to a computer. These devices are used to input(or enter) data and instructions into the computer system.
Keyboard-it is the most commonly used input device.
Which uses an arrangement of buttons and keys to.
Both data and program, can be entered into the
computer through the keyboard.

Types of keys on board:-
Alphanumeric keys-An alphanumeric keypad is a keyboard that contains both numbers and letters on the same keys.
Punctuation keys-Such as comma, full stop, colon, question marks, hyphen, etc.
Special keys-These are keys that perform special functions. They include: Tab, Ctrl, Caps lock, Insert, Prtscr, alt, Shift, Home, Num lock, Esc and many others.
Function keys-These are keys that have F on them which are usually combined with other keys. They are F1 – F12, and are also in the class called Special Keys.
Pointing Device-A Pointing device is used to communicate with the computer by pointing to the locations on the monitor. It can also be used for:
sending command signals to the computer.
selecting items on the screen.
selecting commands from commands menu.
drawing graphics, sketches,etc.
Some commonly used pointing device are mouse,trackball,joystick,lightpen,graphics tablet, touch screen and track ball.
Mouse-A computer mouse is a hand-held pointing device that allow to control the movement of pointer on screen.Generally a mouse have two buttons- a right button
and left button and a wheel called scroll key in the between of buttons.

1.Mechanical Mouse-In this mouse, movement of a cursor on the screen is relative to the movement of the ball available at the bottom of the mouse.
2.Optical Mouse-It uses a Light Emitting Diode(LED) and Photodiodes to detect movement.
3.Laser Mouse-A laser mouse is a type of optical mouse that uses laser light to detect mouse movement.
4.Wireless Mouse-A wireless mouse, also called a cordless mouse, is a mouse that connects to a computer without the use of wires.
1.Joystick-The joystick is also a input device like the mouse,
which consists of a stick that pivots on a spherical ball on its
base.Commonly, joysticks are used for playing computer games
like flight simulator.
3.Light Pen-A light pen is a input device, basically a stylus, that is used
to select text, draw pictures and interact with user interface elements
on a computer screen or monitor.

4.Graphics Table-A graphics tablet (also known as a digitizer, drawing
tablet, drawing pad, digital drawing tablet, pen tablet, or digital art
board) is a input device that enables a user to hand-draw images,
animations and graphics, with a special pen-like stylus.
