On the 18th October 2007 ALDE members marked Europe's first awareness day Against Human ALDE Campaign against Human Trafficking On the 18th October 2007 ALDE members marked Europe's first awareness day Against Human Trafficking. The main spokespersons on the issue, MEPs Karis Riis-Jørgensen (Denmark) and Silvia Ciornei (Romania) held press conferences at national level. An awareness-raising leaflet produced by Liberals and Democrats was distributed to mark the day at this year's ELDR Party Congress in Berlin.
