Hyderabad, Dec 17 (ANI): The students of Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) in Hyderabad continued to protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) in Hyderabad on December 17. They were also protesting in solidarity with the students of Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and Jamia Millia Islamia where violent clashes with police had broken out.

A large number of students participated in the protest and raised slogans against the CAA. The new citizenship law will give Indian citizenship to non-Muslim immigrants who faced persecution in three neighbouring countries- Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.
