Throughout his life Alexander the Great loved and rode one horse
more than any other. That horse was Bucephalus, ‘Oxhead,’ and
he travelled with Alexander all over the world.
The ancient Greeks used to tell the story of how Alexander and
Bucephalus first met. Bucephalus was wild and strong, and only
the young prince Alexander could tame him. Alexander’s father,
the one-eyed king, was delighted when he saw how well Alexander
rode, and knew that he would grow up to have great adventures.
I hope to add more like this as soon as they are available.
