The extreme levels of rain that came from Typhoon Hagibis left much of central Japan flooded. On Oct. 13, an operation to evacuate an elderly home in Kawagoe, Japan, that was flooded all the way up to its top floor commenced. The operation lasted hours and involved more than 100,000 rescuers.
