California rideshare drivers rejoiced Wednesday afternoon over another victory in a long and ugly fight. According to Gizmodo, drivers turned out in droves in support of a state bill that would classify them as full employees. Courts have struggled over whether a worker is a true independent contractor or employees. Wednesday, the Labor, Public Employment, and Retirement Committee of the California Senate voted in favor of the bill, 3 to 1.
