The readymade garments (RMG) industry of Bangladesh is bursting with self-confidence, reports Jozef De Coster from capital Dhaka.

highlights from the video:

Small start

Export earnings

Trade with India

Fit Survivors

Green Manufacturing

Cotton Importer

Wage Hike

Overtime Pay

Conclusion: Bangladesh’s entrepreneurs and buyers have a shared interest in convincing end-consumers that the higher consumer prices they agree to pay for garments will help workers, and especially the female workforce. Higher consumer prices are needed to finance factories’ expenses for better working conditions, higher salaries, and efficient and green garment production.
