The Department of Justice has spent a pretty penny on the Mueller investigation.
But it's not quite as much as President Donald Trump has claimed.
According to Politico, the DOJ reported spending more than $25 million during the first 16 months.
Special Counsel Robert Mueller alone spent $4.6 million between April and September.
Nearly $2.9 million went on employee salaries and benefits, and $580,000 was spent on travel.
