Sidney Iliffe, 56, has lost his job after he moved home and sent his full licence off to be updated with a new address, but was sent back a provisional. Now the former police driver must be accompanied by a fully-qualified motorist every time he gets on the road, and must steer clear of motorways. The government agency claims they have no record of his full licence - despite him having re-registered six times since he passed in 1978.
