Boeing Unveils Prototype Refueling Tanker Drone
  • 6 years ago

On December 19 the Boeing released the first photo of its new MQ-25 “Stingray” prototype entrant. It was an unmanned aircraft for the new century, designed to refuel Navy jets flying from carriers. The plane was developed at the secretive “Phantom Works” facility. The creation is the opening salvo in the MQ-25 competition between Boeing, Lockheed Martin, and General Atomics to build a fleet of drone tankers, which are capable of taking off and landing from an aircraft carrier.
