The J-35 stealth fighter, developed by China for carrier-based operations, has reportedly achieved a new technological milestone by demonstrating a radar cross-section smaller than the palm of a hand, according to state broadcaster CCTV.
This progress places the aircraft on par with the American F-35, which has a radar signature of around 15 cm², roughly the size of a golf ball. The J-35’s reduced detectability is credited to its fuselage design and the use of metamaterials developed domestically.
