by Ruby NitzbergThe U.S. Navy is upgrading part of their F/A-18 Super Hornet fleet. The Boeing-made Super Hornet is a supersonic carrier-based fighter jet. Boeing claims it’s the most cost-effective aircraft in the U.S. tactical aviation fleet. The new improvements will upgrade the stealth and radar cross sections, and will introduce a long-range infrared sensor for early threat detection
