An affair involving two Trump campaign aides has reportedly resulted in the birth of a child and widely differing accounts of the relationship and their roles in the baby’s life.
Both Jason Miller, who is married and briefly served as the White House communications director, and A.J. Delgado, a former transition adviser who says she was led to believe Miller was separated, have made their versions of the events public, reports the Washington Post.
On Wednesday and about a month after the birth of the child, named William, Miller told Page Six, “My wife and I, along with our two daughters, are excited to welcome William into the world and into our family, and we appreciate the well wishes we’ve received from so many.”
The media outlet reports that Miller "fathered [the baby]...following a wild night out in Las Vegas."
Delgado recalls the events differently, saying the affair lasted a couple of months.
She also said via Twitter on Thursday, “And I'm not sure what Jason means that he and his wife are excited to welcome Will. Really? News to me,” and noted, “Actually the father did not/has not sent the child even a $1, or a single gift/item. I have had to pay for/cover everything myself.”
