Thousands of escaped chickens cause huge traffic jam on Austrian highway

The birds were released onto Austria's A1 highway on 4 July, after a truck carrying coops crashed. Around 100 firemen were called to the scene to remove debris and capture the chickens, causing a 10km traffic jam. The blockade was eventually lifted five hours later.
