Hello Guys,
Here is the second video of Day 4 in which includes the trip from Porshofn to the Volcano Canyon and finally to Husavik.
Summary of the Trip:
The First scene is a stop in the middle of nowhere far in the North-West of Porshofn. The area in May was full of ice melting Mountains in which creates a particular natural effect of green and ice surrounded by small lakes.
The Second scene is a stop in Vatnajökull National Park after a small town called Kopasker. We called it the Volcano Canyon as it’s like you are in the middle of two cliffs of lava rock all the way. We went as far as we could go by car and walked through a safety path to an enchanted lake down the secret steps at the far end. Make sure you sing a note while you are down there and see what happens ( I decided to whistle instead ).
The Third scene is our journey to Husavik, the whale watching town. We reserved our apartment with Husavik apartment Solbakki which was just exactly across the street of the Gentle Giants Ticket service for the whale watching tour. The apartment was nice and cosy but be prepared no lift service is installed and there are some steps to go up with the luggage. We ate fine cod and lamb in Salka Restaurant and finally decided to take the last shot with the Parrot Bebop2 before going to bed.
Eventually this was a bad idea as the last scene shows the drone losing control ending lost somewhere in Husavik. Desperate as I seem, we searched for it for an hour without any encounter what so ever. During the time searching we saw another drone ( a DJI Marvic Pro) hovering around. We followed him for some time until we ran to see where was landing.
It landed in a yard around a group of teens drinking the night with some electronic music running around. I told the drone’s owner maybe he could search for my drone and he gratefully did for at least 30minutes. Unfortunately we didn’t had the chance to find it, thanked the much helpful people and went back to our apartment
