Hello Guys !!!
Here are our best scenes in Iceland Day 3. We travelled from Hofn Inn Hotel through Djúpivogur to Petra’s Stone Collection and finally to Egilsstaðir.
As you can see from the movie, Iceland is a constant changing adventure of gorgeous views of Black mountains, Atlantic Ocean and hand touching clouds
Hofn Inn : http://www.hofninn.is/
Recommend stay, comfortable and easy to find. They particularly had two chairs of wood in the form of a hand palm…. In a way they looked weird and not that much comfortable to sit. Shower and toilet was clean and tidy with everything working.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you do not order any food from the Gas Station nearby N2 as particularly the fries were SUPER salty and he didn’t want to give us another one without salt…. Also why would I buy food from a gas station? Is junk food already not healthy enough?
Djúpivogur
Is the nearest town on the way to Egilsstaðir. It has colourful houses by the sea and a very quite area like many other towns in Iceland.
We ate some snacks from their and had some coffee but nothing apart the scenery caught our eyes.
Petra’s Stone Collection : http://www.steinapetra.is/
Situated in Stöðvarfjörður a magnificent some call it enchanted place. Lots of different stones from around the world including animals and birds. The place is very cosy and charming to stay for an hour whilst having a cup of coffee from the locals.
Make sure you don’t get mistaken to call for Petra as she passed away years ago. You can find her story line in a room situated inside and another outside. Now being run by Petra’s daughters.
Egilsstaðir
We stayed in Guesthouse Sara. The place had a kitchen and we decided to cook inside after buying some goodies from the famous BONUS Supermarket. The house have also an option for laundry with a garden on the back plus you can park just in front of the main door making it a luggage friendly room. In fact it was one of the best rooms in 9 days in Iceland
