President Donald Trump signed an executive order telling the Treasury Department not to go after churches that engage in political speech. Personally I'm all for President Trump passing this executive order. The truth of the matter is that the Johnson amendment only came to be because Lyndon B Johnson was be ridiculed by a preacher publicly and wanted to silence that preacher.
The Johnson amendment is a tool to silence the religious by the government. It's an anti free speech amendment that goes against the United States Constitution so I'm glad President Trump is going after it.
