Ever want to eat IKEA’s meatballs but don’t want to go to the store just to get them? You’re in luck. Reports have stated that IKEA has been in talks of making a stand-alone eatery just for their meatballs. Pop-up restaurants already have appeared in London, Oslo, and Paris, but an actual cafe has yet to open. Ikea Food’s managing director Michael La Cour said that Ikea Food’s annual sales were about $1.8 billion in 2016. “I firmly believe there is potential. I hope in a few years our customers will be saying, ‘Ikea is a great place to eat — and, by the way, they also sell some furniture.’ ”
