Looking back, it's a little strange that the first Friday didn't feature the movie's flagship monster... but the series is about to do a major course-correct. It's not going to make any sense (not then, not now, not ever), but the film is going to have a lot of fun playing with the conventions the first movie set up, and put the soon-to-be-legendary Jason Voorhees on screen.
