Hey, welcome back to moviequips highlights. I'm Stephen Bourne and here are your new movie highlights for April 29th to May 5th:

First up, ASSASSINATION is a 2015 spy drama from South Korea, starring Jun Ji-hyun and Lee Jung-jae. Set during Japan's occupation of Korea, a young resistance fighter is tasked with bringing cold justice to a powerful double-crossing official. Assassination won Best Film at last year's Blue Dragon Film Awards in Seoul, and screens here as part of Ottawa Asian Heritage Month.

BAAGHI is a romantic actioner from India, directed by Sabbir Khan and starring Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. The kidnapping of an old flame turned bounty hunter launches a wanted man into the heart of Thailand's underworld to help her escape their mutual enemy. Baaghi screens here with English subtitles at Cineplex Cinemas Ottawa.

GREEN ROOM is an award-winning horror from Cannes Film Festival-winning writer-director Jeremy Saulnier, starring Anton Yelchin and Patrick Stewart. When the last gig on a Punk band's tour leads them to witnessing a murder, a bloodbath of mayhem erupts against a sadistic club owner and his followers. Green Room screens here at Ottawa's Cineplex SilverCity Gloucester.

Next up, MILES AHEAD is a dramatized biopic from debuting feature director Don Cheadle, who also plays the starring role as multi-Grammy-winning American musician Miles Davis. Set in the 1970s, Davis' retirement is abruptly interrupted by a persistent reporter who joins forces when the artist's long-unreleased session recording is stolen. Miles Ahead screens here at Ottawa's ByTowne Cinema.

An all-star ensemble cast assembles for a series of dramatic vignettes in veteran director Garry Marshall's MOTHER'S DAY. Following Marshall's previous films, Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, Mother's Day explores the different relationships some daughters have with their mothers. Mother's Day co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts and Kate Hudson, and screens at all Cineplex and Landmark Cinemas here in Ottawa

THE RAINBOW KID is a Canadian coming-of-ager from debuting dramatic feature filmmaker Kire Paputts, adapted from his 2012 short film, Rainbow Connection. Dylan Harman stars as a troubled teen with Down Syndrome whose quest to find a pot of gold sends him on an increasingly dangerous and liberating path. The Rainbow Kid screens in Ottawa at Landmark Cinemas Kanata as part of its Canadian Indie Film Series.

And last but not least, TOO LATE is a noir crime drama from debuting feature director Dennis Hauck, starring Oscar nominated screen veteran John Hawkes. Filmed in five continuous scenes, a street worn detective dredges L.A.'s underbelly to solve the strange death of a long-lost love. Too Late debuts here projected from a 35mm print at Ottawa's Mayfair Theatre.
