Hey, welcome back to moviequips highlights. I'm Stephen Bourne and here are your new movie highlights for February 19th to the 25th:

First up, HEAVEN ADORES YOU is a 2014 biographical documentary about Elliott Smith from debuting feature director Nickolas Dylan Rossi. Through interviews and archival footage, Rossi retraces the talented yet troubled life of this Oscar-nominated American singer-songwriter who died in 2003. Heaven Adores You screens here for a limited run at Ottawa's Mayfair Theatre.

THE LADY IN THE VAN is a Golden Globe nominated dramatic comedy from the UK starring Maggie Smith and Alex Jennings. Adapted from the film's director Alan Bennett's fact-based 1999 stage play that also starred Smith, a London playwright gets more than intended when an eccentric parks her live-in van in his driveway for 15 years. The Lady In The Van debuts in Ottawa at the ByTowne Cinema and at Landmark Cinemas Kanata.

NEERJA is a fact-based biopic from India directed by Ram Madhvani, starring Sonam Kapoor as celebrated chief flight attendant Neerja Bhanot. Set in the 1980s, the film recounts how 22-year-old Bhanot fought to save passengers when their plane was hijacked by armed terrorists. Neerja screens here with English subtitles at Cineplex Cinemas Ottawa.

Next up, RACE is a Canada-Germany co-production directed by Stephen Hopkins about American four-time Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens. Toronto-born Stephan James stars as the famed track-and-field athlete who rose above segregation at home to crush Hitler's Aryan racism at the 1936 Berlin Summer Games. Race screens in Ottawa at both Landmark Cinemas and at select Cineplex Cinemas.

TOUCHED WITH FIRE is an American dramatic romance from debuting feature director Paul Dalio, starring Katie Holmes and Luke Kirby. Set in New York City, two troubled poets fall in love while engulfed by the blinding intensity of their unrelenting muses. Also known as Mania Days, Touched With Fire premières here at Cineplex Odeon South Keys and at Landmark Cinemas Kanata.

THE WITCH is a 2015 supernatural horror from debuting feature writer-director Robert Eggers, set in 17th century New England. Anya Taylor-Joy stars as the eldest daughter of Puritan farmers fallen on hard times who increasingly suspect she's in league with the devil. The Witch co-stars Game Of Thrones' Ralph Ineson and Kate Dickie, and screens at both Landmark Cinemas and at select Cineplex Cinemas here in Ottawa.

And lastly, YOUTH is an English-language dramatic comedy from Italy, by acclaimed director Paolo Sorrentino, starring Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel and Jane Fonda. Here, the sentimental and sometimes strange world of a renowned, retired composer plays on at a secluded Swiss resort hotel. Fonda's role in Youth earned her Supporting Actress of the Year at last year's Hollywood Film Awards, and the film debuts at Ottawa's ByTowne Cinema.

Also coming up nearby, the annual KINGSTON CANADIAN FILM FESTIVAL rolls February 25th to the 28th. Check out its impressive schedule of Canadian film screenings at kingcanfilmfest.com
